Donald Trump and Elon Musk spotted a drink banned in several countries

Donald Trump and his new friend Elon Musk were spotted sipping on a Prime energy drink while sitting cageside at UFC 309 on Saturday night.

All eyes are on the president-elect, 78, after his resounding victory in the US election earlier this month, with the Republican candidate beating Democratic rival Kamala Harris to win a second term in the White House.

He is a known fan of sports, particularly fighting, and left his Mar-a-Lago base for New York this weekend to enjoy the UFC’s latest show at Madison Square Garden.

While sitting in the front row alongside Musk, fans quickly spotted Trump enjoying free Prime, the viral energy drink banned in several countries.

The hydration brand, owned by social media stars KSI And Logan Paulhad a controversial existence for two years, but now sponsors many high-profile sporting events and can be found on supermarket shelves around the world.

It is, however, banned in schools and for children in some countries, due to the high levels of caffeine it contains.

Australia, Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands are among the countries that have restricted sales of Prime after its 2022 release.

In the United States, Senator Chuck Schumer previously urged the US Food and Drug Administration to investigate Prime Hard’s caffeine content and “unclear marketing”, saying parents were buying their children “a cauldron of caffeine.”

On Saturday evening, KSI took to X to share the video of Trump drinking his product, captioning it simply: “W Trump.”

Musk, meanwhile, was spotted drinking the lemon-lime flavor, to which KSI responded, “W Elon.”

Prime is the official hydration partner of the UFC and was featured on branding around the cage at Madison Square Garden.

Trump was seen reaching for the Prime Hydration Ice Pop flavor, which is one of the brand’s most popular lines. He took a sip while chatting with Musk.

The president-elect’s drinking habits attracted attention after Robert F Kennedy Jr, the new health secretary, revealed just days ago that Trump never drinks water and that he Is on a fast food diet that is like “poison”.

After abandoning his own presidential ambitions to support Trump, Kennedy Jr said on the Joe Polish show: “The things he eats are really bad,” he said.

“Country food is always bad, but the food that comes on this plane is, like, nothing but poison. You have a choice between – you don’t have a choice, you’re either given KFC or Big Macs. It’s like when you get lucky, and then the rest of the things I consider inedible.

He added: “I was with Dana White the other day. He is very close to Trump, they have had a relationship for 20 years through the UFC.

“He said sometimes he would attend a fight with Trump – and he was (there for) five hours (during) the fight, and said he never saw Trump drink a glass of water. ” Never.’

Trump was in good spirits inside the Garden for the event. As the Village People YMCA blasted the PA system inside the arena, Trump took it upon himself to dance and was seen hitting the chorus in what was just the start of events which took place.

The dance, for which he became famous, lasted only a few seconds, as spectators laughed and clapped in approval of the moves.

He was then interrupted by another famous face of the fighting game, WWE chief Triple H, who was also present at the event and approached the president-elect.

Triple H has been at the helm of WWE since the departure of Vince McMahon and went through a merger with the UFC under umbrella company TKO, which took place in September last year.

He approached Trump and shook his hand, before the two “touched” – touched shoulders – and struck up a conversation.

It then turned into a three-way conversation with Rogan, the podcast host who arguably helped the president-elect return to the White House. Rogan threw his support behind the Republican nominee earlier this month following two popular podcast interviews with Elon Musk and Trump.

But it wasn’t all because of Trump’s involvement with the stars. When Jones won the main event by knocking out Stipe Miocic, he singled out Trump in his celebrations.

Jones, whose future is unclear at the end of the fight although the veteran is the heavyweight champion, celebrated with “the Trump dance” – recreating the boogie that has been associated with Trump.

Trump spoke to several fighters at the event, including Jon Jones, who won the main event.

He pointed at the president-elect and gave a thumbs-up in his direction as Trump clapped and nodded in approval.

After leaving the cage, Jones walked over to where Trump was sitting and handed him his heavyweight belt.

Jones then clapped, with Musk also raising his fists in the air and applauding Jones’ performance.

Trump then did his best to raise the belt, before shaking hands with Jones, who bowed in the direction of his new president-elect, the pair exchanging a few words.
