The Lawrence County grand jury convened and returned several indictments for October.
Those indicted and their charges include:
• Toby D. Avery, 45, Ironton, fourth-degree felony failure to appear.
• Melissa D. Clutters, 43, Ironton, fourth-degree felony failure to appear.
• John P. Blair, 45, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs.
• Ryan J. Plantis, 42, fifth-degree possession of cocaine.
• Andrew Wiley, 50, Proctorville, first-degree rape.
•Ronald. P. Gumbert, 50, South Point, fifth-degree misdemeanor aggravated drug possession.
• Carissa D. Freer, 47, no address, fifth-degree misdemeanor aggravated drug possession.
• Justin M. Wells, 36, fifth-degree felony theft.
• Mark A. Turner, 65, Columbus, second-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs.
• Hope M. Fyfee, 29, Pedro, fourth-degree felony failure to appear.
• Jonathan D. Penix, 37, Wheelersburg, fourth-degree felony failure to appear.
• Joseph L. Posey, 63, Ironton, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs.
• Michael W. Carey, 50, Ironton, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs.
• Colin M. Murphy, 31, Huntington, W.Va., five counts of second-degree felonious assault and first-degree misdemeanor endangering a child.
• James M. Gothard II, 45, Pedro, third-degree felony aggravated drug possession, third-degree felony aggravated drug trafficking and first-degree misdemeanor receiving proceeds of a crime subject to forfeiture proceedings, or $846 in cash.
• Michael J. Merrick, 24, South Point, five counts of second-degree felony lewdness involving a minor, two counts of third-degree felony gross sexual imposition.
• Jeffrey L. Adams, 63, Grayson, Kentucky, second-degree felony, aggravated possession of drugs, first-degree felony, drug trafficking.
• Cameron R. Watters, 21, Chesapeake, second-degree burglary, third-degree aggravated theft, fourth-degree aggravated theft of a motor vehicle.
• Austin C. Smith, 26, Ironton, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a fentanyl-related compound.
• Chelsey N. Hankins, 38, Chesapeake, fifth-degree felony, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
• Joshua Lee Beckelhimer, 43, Ashland, Kentucky, fifth-degree misdemeanor aggravated drug possession, first-degree misdemeanor child endangering, first-degree misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fourth-degree misdemeanor, illegal use or possession of drugs. paraphernalia.
