Audi unveils two new entry-level variants for the A6 e-tron

Audi has announced two new entry-level variants for its all-new A6 e-tron family: a new rear-wheel drive A6 e-tron and an all-wheel drive A6 e-tron quattro, offered in both the Sportback and Avant-garde body styles. These arrive, as promised, in addition to the single-motor A6 e-tron performance variants and the dual-motor S6 e-tron variants. revealed during initial launch.

As a new entry point into the range, the A6 e-tron is powered slightly by a smaller 83 kWh (gross) battery pack, compared to the 100 kWh battery used on the previous two variants. Its single engine also produces 325 hp, compared to the performance of the A6 e-tron. 362 hp.

However, aided by the aerodynamic qualities of the Sportback and Avant bodies, the A6 e-tron can still achieve a maximum range of up to 615 km on the former and up to 581 km on the latter. Whichever solution the customer chooses, they will see their A6 e-tron complete the century sprint in just 7.0 seconds (or 6.0 seconds with Launch Control!), before reaching a top speed of 209 km/h.

The A6 e-tron combines a single electric motor delivering up to 240 kW (in launch control) to the rear axle with an 83 kWh battery developed specifically for the Premium Platform Electric (PPE).

Thanks to the 800-volt electrical system of its new Premium Platform Electric (PPE), the A6 Sportback e-tron and A6 Avant e-tron can also support DC fast charging up to 225 kW, enabling assess the state of charge of their batteries. can go from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes. On the other hand, using an 11 kW AC charger will allow a full recharge in eight hours.

The second new addition to the range – the A6 e-tron quattro – contains two electric motors, each powering the front and rear axles, giving it all-wheel drive. With the additional motor, power rises to 456 hp (or 340 kW), with a larger 100 kWh battery allowing it to travel up to 705 km for the Sportback and 668 km for the Avant.

The A6 Sportback e-tron is the most aerodynamic production Audi yet, with an exceptionally streamlined exterior increasing its maximum range.

While the top speed of the A6 e-tron quattro remains the same as the A6 e-tron (209 km/h), this all-wheel drive variant can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4, 7 seconds faster (or 4.5 seconds with launch control). Its battery also supports a higher charging capacity of 270 kW, allowing it to recover enough energy to travel up to 309 km in just 10 minutes.

Like the A6 e-tron performance models, both newly launched variants are available at launch in Sport, S line or Edition 1 specification options.
