High winds cause power outages in southeastern Wisconsin

High winds in southeastern Wisconsin left thousands without power, according to the We Energies outage map.

A tree branch falls on a power line due to gusts of wind.

More than 9,500 customers are experiencing a power outage and 149 power sites are reportedly out of service.

Excessive outages are due to high winds in the area. Meteorologist Brendan Johnson reports wind gusts are in the 50s for the southeastern Wisconsin region. Due to gusty winds, a wind advisory has been issued for southeastern Wisconsin until 10 p.m.
